Here is some information about Windsor and the Hotel for you:
Breakfast:
The best: Cafe Krave, a short walk down Newmarket Rd
Greener: The Green Edge (Vegetarian and Vegan), up Lutwyche Rd
Closer: Mon’s Cafe (in the evening Mon’s Thai), at train station
Faster: Maccas, next door
FOOD in walking distance:
1. “Zone Fresh” food shop down Newmarket road
- Veggies, Fruit (tasty strawberries :), Meat, etc..
Walk 2 traffic lights to our “Zone Fresh” Quality Food shop. Otherwise, supermarkets are in 5min driving distance either down Newmarket road or in Lutwyche shopping centre (Woolies, Coles & Aldi).
2. Also down Newmarket Road at the same location: Food Court
As the same location (walking 2 traffic lights) there is an entire FOOD COURT next to the Breakfast Cafe “KRAVE” and to the “Zone Fresh” Food market with: Noodle, KFC, Burgers, Pizza, Korean, Mexican, Burgers, Subways, Bakery and a Bottle Shop.
3. Sit-down restaurants in Wilston
(walk twice the distance)
.. just after the food court, turn right at Officeworks and into Kedron Brooks Road where you will find Italian, Pizza, Vietnamese, Steakhouse, several cafe’s and more restaurants.
4. More restaurants … walk up Lutwyche Road (just behind the BP):
There are a Sushi train, two Thai’s and The Green Edge, a vegan eatery.
Otherwise, all delivery services deliver to the premise and usually wait in the car park.
PUBS (all quite a walk away)
All venues are approx. 4 min drive (or 10-20 min walk):
- Newmarket Hotel, down Newmarket Road
- Crown Hotel, Up Lutwyche Road
- The Winghaus, Down Lutwyche Road, towards the hospital then turn left to The Winghaus but then you are nearly in Fortitude valley anyway with lots of offers

The train is 5 minute walk away and buses stop next to or in front of the property. Use the online Brisbane Journeyplanner for schedules.
AMENITIES:
- The next door Shell Coles Express with also 24/7 McDonalds, next door on Lutwyche Road, is well stocked with daily necessities, incl. dental care products, detergents, etc… and the coffee is not bad either.
- Chemist Warehouse is just next door (behind Freedom) in the opposite direction up Lutwyche Road, and a little further …
- a Coin Laundry, 5 min walk up Lutwyche road, just behind BP
HOSPITAL:
Just an 8 min walk, or 4 min by bus leaving directly in front of The Windsor on the other side of Lutwyche Road. (370, 375, etc..)
FITNESS:
You may enjoy a walk/jog in the parks and fitness trail along the Enoggerra River, nature walk and fitness trail, just down Victoria road or check-out the many fitness outlets in the neighbourhood.
SUNDAY ORGANIC MARKET:
From 7am to 12pm – On Sunday mornings
pick up a few delicacies and a coffee at the organic food market in Downey Park.
